Today, I'm sharing a great recipe for pulled pork that pairs well with bread.

Ingredients

  • Pork shoulder: 2kg
  • Honey
  • Montreal steak seasoning
  • Barbecue sauce

For the Salad:

  • Cabbage: 300g
  • Onion: 100g
  • Jalapeño: 30g
  • Mayonnaise: 5 tablespoons
  • Ketchup: 2 tablespoons
  • Whole grain mustard: 1 tablespoon
  • Seasoned salt: 1/2 tablespoon

For Serving:

  • Hot dog buns
  • Cheese


Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the 2kg pork shoulder, then rub the following ingredients all over it:

    • Honey
    • Montreal steak seasoning

  2. Place the seasoned meat in a zip-lock bag. Slowly submerge the bag in water to remove air and create a vacuum seal.

  3. Place the vacuum-sealed zip-lock bag inside another zip-lock bag and sous vide it in a rice cooker on warm for 24 hours.

  4. After sous vide cooking, roast the meat in a 200°C oven for 20 minutes.

  5. Once the meat is roasted, pour barbecue sauce over it and shred it using your hands.

  6. In a bowl, combine the following ingredients to make the salad:

    • Cabbage: 300g
    • Onion: 100g
    • Jalapeño: 30g
    • Mayonnaise: 5 tablespoons
    • Ketchup: 2 tablespoons
    • Whole grain mustard: 1 tablespoon
    • Seasoned salt: 1/2 tablespoon

  7. To assemble, place the following ingredients on a hot dog bun:

    • Cheese
    • Salad
    • Pulled pork
