Today, I’m sharing a recipe for Vietnamese rice noodles, Pho.


It's a dish that comes to mind when the weather is cold or when you're craving soup.


I have organized the recipe for you to try making it at home, so give it a go!



Ingredients

  • Brisket: 1kg
  • Water: 3L
  • Fish sauce: 5 tablespoons
  • Dashida (beef stock powder): 1 tablespoon
  • Rice noodles
  • Bean sprouts
  • Green onion
  • Red chili
  • Cilantro
  • Onion
  • Sugar: 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice: 3 tablespoons
  • Water: 3 tablespoons


Cooking Instructions

  1. In a pot, add the following ingredients and simmer on low heat for more than 2 hours.

    • Water: 3L
    • Boil until the water reduces to 1.5L.
    • Brisket: 1kg

  2. Mix the following ingredients and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

    • Onion
    • Sugar: 2 tablespoons
    • Lemon juice: 3 tablespoons
    • Water: 3 tablespoons

  3. Remove the meat from the pot, add fish sauce and Dashida to season, then cook the rice noodles for 30 seconds.

    • Beef broth: 1.5L
    • Fish sauce: 5 tablespoons
    • Dashida: 1 tablespoon
    • Rice noodles

  4. Assemble the following ingredients in a bowl to serve:

    • Cooked rice noodles
    • Broth
    • Bean sprouts
    • Brisket
    • Pickled onions
    • Pickled onion juice: 2 tablespoons
    • Green onion
    • Red chili
    • Cilantro
